There are series of food scandal attract the China customer eyeball. Especially for the milk problem such as the milk giant manufactures. The quality of Chinese milk needs make improvement. On the contrary, The drink manufacturers released the news that the beverage giant PepsiCo Inc and Coca-Cola companies guarantee the orange juices which sold in the Chinese market is safe, the customer would not to worry about the quality of the PepsiCo Inc after the food unreliable crisis and discovering an unapproved fungicide in products which sold in the United State market. The PepsiCo company released the news that all the imported juices is in compliance with the national standards and meet with the requirement the quality nee- without the food additive and fungicide.
Atlanta-based Coca-Cola notified US federal regulators in December of low levels of carbendazim, an unapproved fungicide, in its and its competitors' orange juice products. The juice was imported from Brazil. The news prompted US authorities to begin screening juice on supermarket shelves. PepsiCo announced later that Tropicana, its orange juice product, was found to contain traces of the fungicide. That juice was also from Brazil.
Due to the report said that the orange juices with low levels of the fungicide would not be the safety risk and bring about the food quality problems. "Orange juice containing extremely small amount of the fungicide will not cause health hazards. The crisis from as the biggest f juice beverages countries in the world, the potential hazard of the orange juices would be the biggest problems that arouse the new issue. Due to the fact that the fungicide has low level of toxicity, we have no idea about it is unhealthy or health for people. Moreover, it is a difficult work to distinguish the food safe system about orange drink.
It is a difficult task for customer to standard the drink industry, what the customer need is about the health and nature orange drink. China allows a maximum of 0.5 milligram of carbendazim residue per kg of citrus fruit, equals 500 ppb (parts per billion). The limit in the US is 80 ppb. But food manufacturers must carry out strict checks of materials from suppliers to avoid chemical perils and be the safeguard for the customers. The food manufacturers should take responsibilities for the food quality and rebuild the unreliable market.
